Tomorrow, I'm afraid the mailman will not be happy with me. I recently discovered "Click-n-Ship" with the United States postal service. With a few quick clicks, I can have shipping boxes delivered to my door, for FREE. With a few more clicks, the mailman will pick-up my precious goods and deliver to the lucky recipients within 3-4 days. No more weekly trips to the post office!

Yes, it was a busy weekend in the studio. Ohhh what fun I had filling orders. Here are a few of my favorites, being shipped in the morning.

These personalized totes include a crayon roll with 24 crayons and a coloring book. By far this is my best seller on-line. Aren't they darling!

Also shipping a few aprons. I never tire of making aprons! I would like one for everyday of the week, please!

If you look closely, you'll see "Freckled Hen's" apron in the picture above. This is one of the FIRST aprons I made when I started my business. Yes, Freckled Hen is my darling sister. She is a fabulous seamstress. You can tell her she needs to come for a visit to pick-up her apron.

Last I checked, today is not my birthday. Nor is it Mother's Day. Yet, I awoke at 5:30 a.m. to the sound of little feet in the kitchen, dishes clanging, a chair scooting back & forth across the kitchen floor, chopping on the cutting board.

I tiptoed down the stairs before 6:00 a.m., to find my son sitting at the bar. He had put out the placemats, bowls, cereal, linens, chopped the strawberries & added blueberries, poured the orange juice and had even packed his Sissy's lunch and set-out her backpack for school.

This little guy has such a big heart. Did I mention he's only six!

Clearly, today was not my birthday, nor, Mother's Day.

TODAY was Sissy's day!

I can only hope tomorrow will be Mommy's day.

My heart has been yearning to be in the kitchen. Thumbing through weathered cookbooks. Purging the pantry. Restocking the lazy susan. All of these things bring me much happiness.

A recipe peaked my interest last Fall because of these words,

"ideal for harvesttime with its colorful acorn squash and sweet peaches."

Doesn't that evoke thoughts of yesteryears when our Grandmother's relied on the land to feed their families?! Today was the day to make "Baked Chicken and Acorn Squash" from one of my favorite cookbooks,

While the kids worked on their homework at the kitchen bar and my husband chatted about his day, I made supper. I was happy to be in the kitchen. I Felt like a giggly school girl.

Just look at those glazed peaches atop the buttered acorn squash!

I confess, dinner was almost served cold while I staged these photo's!

Bon Appetit!

As a new blogger, the thoughts of my first post have haunted me for days, ok months. After reading many inspirational blogs that are a true snapshot into your lives, I'm a wee bit intimidated. I am most confident with myself in my little home studio. So I thought I would share it here with you. This is a place where I plan, design, produce, sell, package and ship, all within these four walls. Enjoy!
